St Andrew Boat Club’s senior men have celebrated a historic success, winning the medium club pennant at the Head of the River Race on the Tideway.
The crew placed 75th overall, beating hundreds of crews from across the UK and further afield, and finishing ahead of all other crews in the medium club category.
The winning crew was: Tom Duke, Brady Stevens, Stuart Masson, Andy Dobson, Jan Swedlow, Nathan Field, Joe Nelson, Neil Paul and cox Katie McLaughlin.
The men’s win came amid a great performance from the club across all major Tideway races – with a masters women and mixed crew rowing well in the Vesta Vets Head race and our senior women and two of our juniors competing in the Women’s Eights Head of the River Race. The club’s junior boys also represented the club incredibly well at this year’s Schools’ Head of the River.
